It has allegedly been confirmed that Jones (72) is undergoing the painful procedure to remove a tattoo he had done as a young tearaway growing up in England's biggest county.

The tattoo is said to be a full size, 100% accurate picture of , tattooed on his face.

Apparently Mr Jones had the tattoo in 1914 to cover up a previous tattoo he had inked into his face 13 years earlier, to celebrate his coming of age.

The subject of the first tattoo is said to be unknown, but it is thought that, at the time of application, it was permanent.

This story has nothing whatsoever to do with the Edinburgh Tattoo as that is in Scotland and not on Tommy's face.
